This agreement is between you (the “Author”) and Bhartiya Sangeet Kalapith, a registered society (Registration No. F-22232 (CSN)), which runs Sangeet Jagat. It applies to every article, image or other material (“Contribution”) you submit for publication. By submitting a Contribution you accept this agreement.
1. Your copyright
You keep the copyright in your Contribution.
2. Licence to Sangeet Jagat
You grant Bhartiya Sangeet Kalapith a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free and perpetual licence to publish, display, store, reproduce and distribute your Contribution on Sangeet Jagat and its associated channels (including the website, e-journal, podcast pages, newsletters and official social-media accounts); to edit it for clarity, length, style, accuracy and language; to translate it into other languages; and to create excerpts and summaries that credit you. We will not sell your Contribution separately to third parties without your permission.
3. Your promises
- The Contribution is your original work and does not infringe anyone’s copyright, trademark, privacy or other rights.
- You have permission for any third-party material (images, long quotations, recordings), and you have credited the sources.
- The Contribution is not defamatory, obscene or unlawful, and is accurate to the best of your knowledge.
- You will tell the editors about any conflict of interest related to the Contribution.
If a claim arises because a promise above was not true, you agree to cooperate with us and to bear the resulting liability, to the extent permitted by law.
4. Editing and publication
Our editors decide whether, when and in what form a Contribution is published. We will not change the meaning of your Contribution without consulting you.
5. Credit and profile
Your name is shown as the author. With your consent, an author profile (photo, credentials, areas of expertise, biography) is shown on the People pages. You can update it or switch it off at any time; see the Privacy Policy.
6. Withdrawal
You may ask us to remove a published Contribution by writing to sangeetjagat.bsk@gmail.com. We will unpublish it within a reasonable time, normally 15 days, except where we must keep it for a legal reason. Copies already shared or archived by others may remain outside our control.
7. Payment
Contributions are voluntary and unpaid unless a separate written agreement says otherwise.
8. Law
This agreement is governed by the laws of India. Subject to applicable law, the courts at Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra have exclusive jurisdiction.
